Belinda Sillars

Dental Auxillary and Oral Health Educator

Belinda trained as a Dental Therapist and has worked in different school clinics.

Subsequently, Belinda trained as a Veterinary Nurse and performed dental hygiene and general anaesthetics on animals at Kohimaramara Vet Clinic.

She has many amusing animal stories to tell the children!  She provides valuable oral health information to children and parents and ensures they have a pleasant experience. One of Belinda's key interest areas is implementing preventive strategies for our high caries risk patients to reduce dental decay, as part of this she conducts saliva testing, plaque pH tests and dietary discussions.

Belinda is heavily involved in different sporting events for her children and has a strong interest in sports dentistry. Belinda makes custom-made mouthguards for our patients playing contact sports.  She is also involved in monitoring health and safety issues for our practice.

Belinda manages to juggle her three boys and work – plus have a little time for golf and horse riding!

We are extremely fortunate to have Belinda as part of our team.
